about
Since childhood the well known scent of finest star anise is accompanies us through the Advent and Christmas seasons. But not just for Christmas star anise enchanted our taste and smell. Also in tea blends, to Asian food, poultry, fish and seafood, wonderful mulled wine, grog, fruit compotes, jams, marmalades, cakes, sweet, pudding, or liqueurs star anise enriches the ingredients with the scent from 1001 nights. The great savor of star anise is not plugged into the seeds, which are much milder in taste, but in the pericarp itself. The whole star is milled and can be used as a cooking spice or ingredient for Christmas Mulled, grog, cookies and pastries. The smell of star anise is very similar to that of anise, but it is far more intense in taste, it is sweet, with a hint of licorice.
